This Privacy Policy explains how Postinity.io ("us," "we," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access and use Postinity — an AI-powered content repurposing tool available at postinity.io (the "Service").
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by updating the date above and, where appropriate, by sending you an email. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
We collect information you directly provide when you create an account, contact us, or use the Service. This includes your name, email address, password, and any content you choose to submit — such as YouTube URLs, transcripts, or creator profile details.
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain information, including:
Transcripts and text you submit are processed in memory solely to generate content and are never stored in our database. YouTube URLs you submit are saved as part of your generation history. Generated outputs are stored so you can access them later. We do not use your content to train AI models.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Service — including payment processing, email delivery, AI processing, database hosting, and infrastructure. Each provider is bound by appropriate data protection agreements.
We may also disclose your information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal information is anonymised immediately and permanently purged from our systems within 30 days. Your generation history is deleted immediately upon account deletion. Billing records may be retained for up to 5 years as required by applicable law.
We use a secure, httpOnly cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is strictly necessary for the Service to function. If you consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised usage data. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to certain processing, or request a portable copy of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. EU/EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority — in Poland, this is the Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO) at uodo.gov.pl.
The Service is not directed at children under 13. Users in the EU must be at least 16 years old. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
